Hello all,

Are any of you interested in rowing, but like me aren't keen on joining the University Boat Club cos it's full of 18-year-olds and you feel a bit past that?! Or would you like to meet new people and make friends outside the Uni? If so, you'd be more than welcome to come along to Nottingham Rowing Club. I joined in the second year of my PhD and it's been a real godsend in getting me away from my desk and giving me something else to talk about occasionally! There's already quite a few postgrad members, and they're always keen to welcome more, from complete beginners to international-standard rowers. If you've got any questions ask away here, or feel free to PM me, or have a look at the club website (hmm, tried to give web link but it won't let me!)

We're also always desperate for coxes, so you fancy getting out on the river, sharing in the glory but without any physical exertion whatsoever, we'd love to meet you!
