Hi. I'm James, the PGSA's dedicated Welfare Officer until next October (when I take over as President) and I am here to help you in every way I can with any issues and problems that may arise whilst you are studying at Nottingham.
My role as Welfare Officer is extremely varied and involves running weekly drop-in sessions; dealing with more personal or delicate issues on a one-to-one basis; sitting on the Students' Union Welfare Committee; organising discussion groups; and of course, listening to postgraduates' problems and offering them guidance and support where I can.
So if you have any ideas about what campaigns we should be running, what training the Welfare Officer should have or anything welfare related this is the section of the forum for you.
If you would like to stand for my position next year feel free to get in touch at ldxjs7@nottingham.ac.uk, or from after September 28th pgsa@nottingham.ac.uk |
